‘You made the mortgage process easy’ is the most common comment that finance broker Deb Murphy hears from her clients, and she loves it!
From her start as a major bank’s customer service officer in 1996, Deb worked her way through personal lender mortgage services management before launching her own mortgage broking business in 2012. Along the way she nurtured one important skill - customer service; and says ‘You can learn systems, policies and numbers however exceptional customer service is a skill; without that you have nothing.”
As a mortgage broker, Deb meets many different people from young couples and families to well established investors, and loves greeting them as friends. She services clients throughout south east Queensland from her home base in South Brisbane; and with children in their early 20’s, she has an especially great connection with first home buyers, understanding the way they communicate, their specific concerns and the level of 'hand holding' that they need.
Her great achievement is knowing that her business, which she built from nothing, has grown purely through referrals. Success for Deb is seeing her client base increasing and knowing that every client has had the best mortgage journey and refers her to friends and family.
